Faith-Based Healing Scripture Highlight
Isaiah 53:5- “But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for out iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed”.
In this scripture, Jesus not only died for our sins, he also died for our peace and healing. After all, that is healing in all ways, physical bodies, mental health, and spiritual lives. Therefore, we can see that His sacrifice covers every part of us. . Furthermore, when we accept His truth, we start to walk in the freedom that comes from being made whole. As a result, we can face trials with hope. We know that by His stripes, we already carry the promise of restoration.

However, healing is not always instant; instead, it is often a process that requires faith, patience, and perseverance. Even though the journey can feel heavy, remember that God’s Word provides strength and direction. For example, when we pray and meditate on His promises, renewing begins in our minds. As well as comforting begins in our hearts. In the same way, when we take small steps toward emotional and physical wellness. We also see how God’s power works through our daily choices. Thus, healing is not just something we wait for—it is something we actively walk in with trust and expectation.
My Faith-Based Healing Testimony
My Pain
have dealt with many different types of physical pain throughout my life. Some came from physical labor, while others came before and after surgery. I have also experienced emotional pain, psychogenic pain, and chronic pain. When these types of pain occur, it often feels like there is no end to the throbbing and aching. Yet, even in those moments, I hold on to the truth that by His stripes, I am healed.
The pain I continue to live with daily is fibromyalgia, which I have battled for over 15 years. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel some type of pain or aching. The pain goes from my head down to my feet. At times, it also affects my internal organs and appetite. Along with the physical, this pain brings emotional struggles and mental battles. Depending on its severity, I experience anxiety attacks and depression. I also endure chronic headaches that makes me need injections to manage.
My Struggles
Living with constant pain has been one of my greatest challenges. There are days when the weight of it all feels overwhelming. Simple tasks can become exhausting. For instance, cooking sometimes is the hardest task for me. However the moments of joy are sometimes overshadowed by the ache I carry in my body. In addition, the emotional toll often feels just as heavy as the physical pain. For example, fibromyalgia has caused me to feel discouraged, isolated, and misunderstood at times. I become sensitive to light, noise, and things rubbing against my skin.
However, even in the hardest moments, I am learning that my struggles are not a waste. They have taught me resilience and reminded me to lean on God’s strength when my own runs out. Although pain has tried to steal my peace, I continue to fight with prayer, perseverance, and faith. Suffering does not define my story. I am an overcomer.
My Faith
Through every moment of pain and struggle, my faith has been the anchor that keeps me grounded. I know that I could not carry this weight by myself. I would have fallen under the pressure. Instead, I’ve learned to lean on God’s promises. Scripture like Isaiah 53:5 reminds me that Jesus already carried my pain and my healing on the cross. Because of that, I don’t have to walk this journey alone.
In addition, prayer has become more than just words—it has become my lifeline. Even when I don’t have the strength to pray long prayers, I will simply call on the name of Jesus. Also, I will turn on Youtube to hear prayers when I can’t pray for myself. https://youtu.be/wT1ar5Q346o?si=oSjg17tyQ_WZ7Y0B. This simple act gives me peace. Praise & Worship has also been a place of release. This is where I can lay down my burdens and His presence fills me. Furthermore, I’ve seen how God places people in my life to encourage me. They are with me, reminding me that He is faithful to provide comfort and strength.

Most importantly, my faith has taught me to trust the process. Healing may not always come instantly, but I believe God is working through every step. Every doctor’s visit, every tear, and every prayer. My pain has drawn me closer to Him, and in that closeness, I’ve found hope that nothing can take away. Pain began the formation of The Angelic Rainbow.
My Journey
My healing journey began during COVID-19. Starting comes from saying to myself, “God didn’t call me to live like this.” When the world began to open back up, I felt a release too. After almost eleven years of not working, I went back into the workforce for nearly a year. Eventually, I had to step back again, but this time I carried something new with me. The skills, experiences, and education I had gained through schooling and physical and mental therapy. I discovered what truly began working best for me.
For me, that meant pulling away from certain environments and choosing intentional separation. Realizing that I am sensitive to many things. I had to isolate myself for a season. In the season, I chose to draw closer to God. I fully trust the plans He has for me (Jeremiah 29:11). I began exercising, praying, and meditating. In doing so, I started focusing on what was best for my health and my relationship with God.
The greatest peace I found was, I stopped trying to live up to people’s expectations of me. As I began living the way God called me to. I began asking Him to “Show me what I am working with”. I can no longer shape my life around what makes others comfortable. Instead, I walk in the freedom of knowing that my worth and healing come from Him alone. I have the determination to keep walking in it with faith and courage.
My Faith-based Healing Hope for Others
If you are reading this and carrying your own pain. Whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, I want you to know that you are not alone. I understand the weight of living with pain every day. I also know the hope that comes from trusting God through it all. Healing does not happen overnight. Remember, every step you take toward faith and wellness is proof that God is still working in you.
Therefore, I encourage you to hold on to His promises. Especially hold on, on the days when it feels like nothing is changing. Remember Isaiah 53:5: “By His stripes we are healed.” This truth is for you too. Furthermore, know that your struggles do not disqualify you, they can become the very testimony that inspires someone else.
My prayer is that you find peace in God’s presence, strength in His Word, and courage to keep walking forward. Healing is a journey, and while it looks different for each of us. One thing we have in common, we can trust that God’s plan is good. So don’t give up. Instead, speak life over yourself, embrace the process, and believe that restoration is already on the way.
